STILLWATER — Oklahoma State University Extension experts are inviting the public to virtually tour the Southwest Research and Extension Center in Altus, Oklahoma, in a series of agriculture teleconferences later this month.

The Zoom meetings will provide an overview of cotton management, as well as irrigation and studies in sorghum and sesame, said Gary Strickland, Southwest Research and Extension Center regional agronomist.

The first session begins 11:30 a.m. September 22 and will cover cottonrelated topics such as weed and nitrogen management. The series continues 11:30 a.m. each day with topics including drip irrigation systems, grain sorghum varieties and sesame herbicides.

Strickland will be joined by speakers including Seth Byrd, extension cotton specialist; Todd Baughman, IAB Weed Science Program leader; Brian Arnall, precision nutrient management extension specialist; Jason Warren, soil and water conservation management specialist; Saleh Taghvaeian, water resources extension specialist; and Josh Lofton, extension cropping systems specialist.
