Commission approves two Rader Park items

City commissioners unanimously approved two actions regarding Rader Park during Tiesday’s regular meeting. The first item was an agreement between the City of Weatherford and the Great Plains YMCA, which stated the YMCA will manage daily operations of the splash pad at Rader Park for the 2024 season.

City commissioners approved the memorandum of understanding between the City of Weatherford and the Greater Oklahoma City YMCA at Tuesday evening’s City Commission meeting. The Wednesday edition of the Weatherford Daily News listed changes the commission made to the MOU.

SWOSU Nursing hosts Class of ‘26 orientation

The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Nursing hosted an in-person orientation for the graduating Class of 2026 Tuesday, April 30. This event was designed for students recently admitted to the SWOSU Nursing program and beginning nursing courses in the Fall 2024 semester.
