Sheila Marie Lewis, 79, of Weatherford, peacefully passed away after a chronic lengthy illness April 10, 2024, surrounded by her children.

Sheila was born September 23, 1944, in Wildwood New Jersey to Walter Lucyan Czechowski and Eleanor Marie.

As a young child of a military family Sheila spent her younger years traveling from the West Coast to the East Coast making many memories.

Sheila met and married the love of her life Kenneth Dean Lewis in Cape May, New Jersey, June 27, 1964. Together they were blessed with three children.

Sheila devoted her life to her children in their early years as a stay-at-home mom and later entered the workforce for various companies from General Dynamics to Southwestern Bell and later earned her associates degree in business management.

After marrying her husband, Kenneth Dean, they moved every four years from the east coast to the west coast due to his active duty in the United States Coast Guard and ultimately settling in Tuttle.

Sheila eventually came to Weatherford to be closer to her daughter as health concerns started to burden her. She spent many years at Weatherwood Assisted Living before moving to Oxford Springs where she made so many friends and gifted so many people with her multiple talents of playing the piano, organ, accordion, singing, dancing, crocheting afgans and blankets and joyfully giving them away as gifts.

She left a legacy with all her creative talents and will be missed by many who loved her.

Survivors include: her three children, Kenneth Dean Lewis, Jr. and spouse, Denise, of Yukon, Janice Marie Shelburne and Larry, of Mannford and formerly of Weatherford, and Michael Lewis and Aaron Leider, of Los Angeles; her grandchildren, Jennifer and spouse, Alex Breitmayer, of Poulsbo, Washington, Kara Shelburne, of Tulsa, Hayden Lewis, of Oklahoma City, and Dalton Lewis, of Oklahoma City; great grandchildren, Dean Breitmayer and Sunny Breitmayer, of Poulsbo, Washington; two brothers, Thomas Czechowski and Donna, of Centerville, Ohio, and Richard Czechowski of Park City, Utah; and sister-in-law, Wanda Clemmens, of Claremore.
