Governor signs grocery tax cut bill into law

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed House Bill 1955 into law, which will cut the state’s portion, 4.5 percent, of sales tax on groceries. HB 1955 was introduced January 18, 2023. This measure proposed no state sales tax on sales of food and food ingredients.
