ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas — SWOSU softball finished its series at Henderson State with a 1-2 record, eliminating the team from contention to play in the Great American Conference postseason tournament. SWOSU split games in a doubleheader Friday, winning the first game, 4-1, and losing the second game, 9-2.

SWOSU women’s team wins fourth rodeo of season

HAYS, Kansas — For a fourth time this season and a second consecutive weekend, the SWOSU women’s rodeo team finished first after winning the Fort Hays State Rodeo April 18-20. The win extends the team’s lead in the Central Plains Region against Oklahoma Panhandle State with one rodeo remaining in the regular season.

SWOSU baseball wins final non-conference game

SWOSU baseball defeated Cameron 12-8 in the last non-conference game of the season Tuesday afternoon. SWOSU took advantage of multiple errors by the Aggies and scored in five-straight innings for the win.

SWOSU men’s golf finishes 4th at GAC

BROKEN ARROW — SWOSU’s Sutton McMillan finished in the Top 5 individually and the team placed fourth overall at the 2024 Great American Conference Championships in Broken Arrow. Henderson State won the conference title by six strokes against Harding, who finished ahead of Southern Arkansas by another 11 strokes.

Football districts will change after OSSAA ruling

Following a preliminary injunction ruling in Oklahoma County District Court, the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association late last week released revised football classifications. The change affects all classes of football from Class 6AI to Class C.
