Graveside service for Dorlas Joan Meier, 87year-old Weatherford resident, will be 2 p.m.
Friday, March 29, 2024, at Greenwood Cemetery with Berry Smith officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Dorlas Joan Meier was bom December 4, 1936, in Seminole, to John Earnest Allen and Esther Iva (Womack) Thompson and passed away Sunday March 24, 2024, at Oxford Spring of Weatherford.
Dorlas was raised and attended school in Seminole, graduating with Claasen High School in 1954. Dorlas worked as a waitress and later a hairdresser in Oklahoma City.
June 8, 1975, Dorlas married Jerry Meier and made their home in Weatherford. She enjoyed traveling, doing hair, cooking, her church. Dr Pepper and watching the Price is Right.
Survivors include: her daughter, Sheila Lindsey, of Weatherford; stepdaughter, Shelli Herd, of Oklahoma City; brother, Marvin Allen and wife, Terry, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; one brother, Charles; one sister, Carole; daughter, Vickie; son, Nickie; and grandson, Ben.
