School district purchases land for new high school

The Weatherford Board of Education approved the purchase of 40 acres of land for the purposes of building a new high school for the growing school district. The money used to purchase the new land is revenue from a bond voters passed April 4, 2022. That bond issue passed with 66.23 percent majority approval.
